Excel Nearshore is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in React, JavaScript, and Next.js to join our client’s development team. This role will lead a team in the redevelopment of an existing application into a modern tech stack, building it from the ground up. As the lead developer on this project, you will be responsible for creating end-to-end products, and contributing to the development and maintenance of high-quality, scalable, and secure web applications. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a commitment to developing software solutions that positively impact our customers and their communities. This is a fully remote and full-time position from Costa Rica, in payroll with benefits.
- Develop and maintain robust web applications using React, Next.js, and other relevant technologies.
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement functional, client-facing features that enhance the user experience.
- Utilize RESTful API design patterns to integrate and improve application effectiveness.
- Engage in the full software development lifecycle, including testing, integration, and deployment.
- Ensure applications perform well and are responsive across multiple platforms.
- Maintain code integrity and organization using version control tools such as Git.
- Work closely with team members and stakeholders to achieve business goals.
- Proficiency in React, Next.js, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Tailwind CSS.
- Experience with MySQL or Postgres.
- Experience with Prisma.
- Experience with Stripe and other payment processors.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong work ethic.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with custom Shopify development.
- Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and server architecture.
- Familiarity with Retool and low-code tooling.
- Familiarity with Webflow or Framer.
