SAP SD Analyst
Description

Excel Nearshore is seeking a skilled SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) Analyst to support, enhance, and optimize SAP Order‑to‑Cash (OTC) processes across our client’s global operations. This role focuses on hands‑on configuration, functional analysis, issue resolution, testing, and collaboration with business stakeholders to ensure SAP SD solutions meet operational needs and follow established standards.

The ideal candidate will work closely with business users, technical developers, project teams, and global process owners to deliver stable, high‑quality SAP SD functionality. Responsibilities include performing configuration changes, supporting daily operations, participating in project work, documenting processes, and ensuring alignment with the client’s best practices.

This role requires the ability to work with global teams across regions such as China, Thailand, India, North America, Brazil, EMEA, and the UK, supporting a diverse portfolio of tasks ranging from minor enhancements and testing to participation in new solution deployments.

This is a fully remote and full-time position from Costa Rica, in payroll with benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Functional Support & Configuration
    • Execute SAP SD configuration to support master data and the transactional processes for Quote to Cash that may include but not be limited to pricing, billing, taxation, ATP, and credit [BL1.1] [MS1.2] management.
    • Troubleshoot SD issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
    • Support daily operations and work with business users to resolve incidents and service requests.
    • Maintain system documentation, configuration guides, and functional specifications.
  • Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
    • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements, pain points, and process gaps.
    • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for development teams.
    • Participate in requirement workshops, functional design discussions, and solution reviews.
  • Testing & Validation
    • Develop test cases, prepare test data, and execute functional testing.
    • Validate system changes to ensure they meet requirements and do not impact existing processes.
    • Support cutover activities, production deployments, and post‑go‑live stabilization.
  • CrossFunctional Collaboration
    • Work with ABAP developers to support enhancements, reports, interfaces, and IDoc/API troubleshooting.
    • Collaborate with cross‑module teams (FI, MM, WM, LO, GP, PP, eCommerce, CRM/Salesforce [BL2.1] [MS2.2]).
    • Participate in integration workstreams involving EDI, IDocs, APIs, Integration Platforms such as MuleSoft, and external partners.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to improve SD processes and system usability.
    • Recommend system enhancements or process changes that increase efficiency and reliability.
    • Support documentation of standard operating procedures and training materials.
Qualifications

Must have:

  • 4–7+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP SD.
  • Strong understanding of the Order‑to‑Cash cycle.
  • Experience with master data, pricing, billing, invoicing, and credit management.
  • Knowledge of ATP, delivery processing, and distribution functionality.
  • Ability to work with global teams and support multiple regions/time zones.

Preferred:

  • Experience with API integrations, Mulesoft, or 3rd‑party connectivity.
  • Experience with EDI or other IDoc interface support [BL3.1] [MS3.2] [BL3.3].
  • Understanding of Salesforce and eCommerce integrations with SAP SD.
  • SAP SD certification.
