PowerBuilder Developer
Description
Excel Nearshore is looking for a full-time and fully remote PowerBuilder Developer to join our team working for a major healthcare technology client company.
Responsibilities
- Developing software solutions by understanding information needs of the Medical Solutions Division business.
- Advocating and enhancing the Agile software development lifecycle.
- Determining operational feasibility of solution designs by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
- Determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, and by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
- Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- May manage small team of software engineers by providing advice, coaching, mentoring, and assisting to resolve complex technical or design issues.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Business or related field (completed and verified prior to start).
- 8 years experience as an applications developer in private, public, government, or military environments – (large and small projects).
- 8 years experience with PowerBuilder from version 12.5 and higher (experience analyzing, diagnosing, coding, testing and implementing)
- Experience in SQL (stored procedures, functions, triggers and writing packages)
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Understand all aspects of software development lifecycle.
- Understand various SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc).
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience with PowerBuilder2021
- Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills across technical and senior operational management audiences.
- Experience with Oracle DB and PL/SQL.
- Java and/or .Net application development experience
- Strong experience in integration components such as web services, frameworks etc.
- Familiar with various IT and PM tools – JIRA, RTC etc.
- Healthcare Order to Cash experience (preferred)
- Agile methodologies
