Oracle PL/SQL Developer (.NET & Azure)
Description

Excel Nearshore is seeking a highly skilled Oracle PL/SQL Developer with experience in Oracle Financials, and exposure to .NET technologies and Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions that support enterprise financial applications and business-critical processes.

This role requires strong expertise in Oracle database development, performance tuning, and financial systems, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

This is a fully remote and full-time position from Costa Rica, in payroll with benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers to support application functionality and improve performance.
  • Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, query optimization, and root cause analysis.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Support and maintain Oracle Financial processes including:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Collaborate with development teams supporting .NET applications and Azure-based cloud solutions.
  • Develop and support data integrations, reporting solutions, ETL processes, and batch jobs.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, deployment, and production support activities.
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards, security policies, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, functional analysts, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support for production environments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Development.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Query Optimization and Performance Tuning.
  • Extensive experience developing and maintaining Stored Procedures, Packages, Functions and Triggers.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Financial Accounting processes, including: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP).
  • Experience supporting financial or enterprise business applications.
  • Exposure to .NET technologies and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, distributed team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Azure Data Services and cloud-based integrations.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and data reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise financial systems.
