Excel Nearshore is seeking a talented Frontend Developer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building intuitive, high-performance user interfaces using React, Next.js, and Material-UI. You will work with JavaScript, TypeScript, and GraphQL to develop scalable applications while leveraging tools like Visual Studio Code and Storybook to ensure consistency and efficiency in UI development. This is a fully remote and full-time position from Costa Rica, in payroll with benefits. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user-facing applications using React, Next.js, and Material-UI.
- Implement interactive and responsive UI components with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Integrate front-end applications with GraphQL APIs for efficient data handling.
- Utilize Storybook to build and document reusable UI components.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize applications for performance.
- Collaborate with backend developers and designers to create seamless user experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend development trends and technologies.
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with React, Next.js, and Material-UI.
- Familiarity with GraphQL and its integration in frontend applications.
- Experience using Visual Studio Code and Storybook for UI development.
- Knowledge of best practices in performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
