CI/CD and DevOps Engineer
Description

Excel Nearshore is seeking a highly motivated and experienced CI/CD & DevOps Engineer to join the IT team of a leading U.S.-based healthcare client’s company. This role will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining a modern, scalable, and dynamic Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, automation, and infrastructure as code, with hands-on experience supporting development pipelines for .NET, Angular, SQL (DDL scripts), and cloud-based infrastructure. This is a fully remote and full-time position from Costa Rica, in payroll with benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a new CI/CD system to support dynamic build and release processes.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, QA, and infrastructure teams to define and automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) for provisioning and managing environments.
  • Integrate CI/CD pipelines with source control, artifact repositories, and monitoring tools.
  • Automate database deployment processes, including DDL script execution and versioning.
  • Ensure code quality, security, compliance, and best practices are embedded in the CI/CD lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in build and deployment pipelines.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve CI/CD tools, processes, and performance.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD engineering, or related roles.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Team City, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of source control systems like GitHub and Bitbucket.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with .NET (Core/Framework) and Angular build and deployment processes.
  • Experience with SQL Server and managing DDL scripts in deployment pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Azure Container Apps, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building CI/CD systems from the ground up.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with security scanning tools and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Kibana, Azure Monitor, Grafana).
