Senior Technical Project Manager
Description

Excel Nearshore is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join the Product Development organization of a leading U.S.-based company in the digital legal services and technology industry. In this role, you will lead strategic software development initiatives, partnering with product, engineering, and business teams to drive planning, execution, and delivery. You will manage multiple projects in an Agile environment, helping teams prioritize work, resolve dependencies, and successfully deliver business-critical technology solutions. This is a fully remote and full-time position from Costa Rica, in payroll with benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of technical projects and programs.
  • Support strategic planning, discovery, and prioritization in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Develop project plans, define milestones, monitor progress, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks.
  • Proactively identify and remove project impediments to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements that support software development from design through deployment.
  • Collaborate on technical solution planning and support implementation and integration efforts.
  • Document project plans and ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
  • Define, monitor, and report on project and team metrics to support operational improvements.
  • Develop and maintain project management templates, documentation, and best practices.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, releases, and retrospectives to stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management working directly with software engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a technology company, preferably within a SaaS environment.
  • 3+ years of experience leading software development projects with defined schedules and deadlines.
  • Experience leading projects using Agile or other iterative development methodologies.
  • Proven track record delivering complex technical programs and initiatives.
  • Experience using project planning, road mapping, and issue tracking tools, including Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and/or Roadmunk.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scrum Master, Scaled Agilist, or PMP certification.
  • Experience partnering with Product Management, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Support, and Operations teams.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and ambiguity.
  • Experience coordinating multiple teams without direct management authority.
  • Experience working within large software development organizations.
